Direct-to-film — or DTF — has quickly become one of the most popular ways to customize apparel. If you’ve ever wanted a full-color photo or a detailed logo on a shirt without ordering hundreds of them, DTF is likely the answer.
How it works
Your design is printed onto a special film, then heat-pressed onto your garment, where it bonds to the fabric. Because there’s no per-color setup like traditional printing, DTF handles unlimited colors and fine detail with ease — and it works beautifully even on a single item.
What can we DTF?
Just about anything we can heat-press. That opens up a lot of possibilities beyond the basic tee:
- Shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies
- Tote bags and aprons
- Pillowcases and other home goods
- Hats and caps
Bring in your favorite photo, a multicolor logo, or a piece of artwork, and we’ll show you what’s possible.
Why customers love it
- Full color — photos and intricate designs look vivid and detailed.
- Great for small orders — even a single piece is no problem.
- Fast — we can often print small orders within a day.
- Versatile — mix and match garments in the same order.
Is DTF right for your project?
DTF is a fantastic fit for personalized gifts, small-batch orders, and any design with lots of color. If you’re printing a big run of a simple, one- or two-color design, screen printing may be more economical — and we’re always happy to help you compare. See more examples on our direct-to-film page.
